About.

T.J. Walton (b. 1994) is a self-taught visual artist, based on the South Coast of England.

My paintings explore the intersection of dream and reality, blending elements of surrealism and expressionism to capture the complexity of emotions and thought. I’m inspired by my love for imagery and the power of visual arts to evoke feelings and provoke curiosity.

My creative process is slow and reflective. I let ideas build up over time, often without a clear plan at first. I work with what feels right in the moment, allowing the painting to grow organically. For me, it’s about exploring the unknown and expressing things that words often can’t capture. This duality reflects my belief that reality is never as fixed or as clear as it seems, and that our inner worlds are as vivid and tangible as what we see around us.

Each piece is an attempt to offer a new way of seeing, whether through strange combinations of imagery or the raw energy of colour and form. I want my work to feel alive, something that shifts and changes with each viewing.
